Ling Pai is a champion adaptive surfer with Team Canada. In her spare time, she also likes to ski in the backcountry and go trail-running. She's also legally blind.

As a teen, she was diagnosed with dominant optic atrophy, a degenerative eye disease for which there is no cure and no treatment.She hid her condition for years, until it nearly cost her her life.
